ALEMO specializes in the production of machinery for the manufacturing of Polyethylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP), and Polystyrene (XPS) foams.
Today, ALEMO is a global leader in the development and production of foam extrusion lines and other converting machinery for EPE, EPP and XPS foam products based on process and product requirements. ALEMO has supplied extrusion lines and other equipment to market leaders in almost every part of the world: Europe, North America and Latin America, Australia, India, Russia, Japan, and Central Asia.
ALEMO has its own research and development group, but we also collaborate with external partners and institutions. We are constantly seeking technical solutions to build machinery capable of producing better products using fewer raw materials, less energy, less labor, and more recycled material, while producing less waste and pushing products to become compliant with the circular economy.

Renovation begins at ALEMO new plant in Gorizia, Italy

It has been a path of many experiences, highs and lows, but most importantly: we never stopped where we arrived! And this was only possible thanks to you.

Our machinery today
For this special 15th anniversary, a new logo “A – FOAM MACHINERY” was launched to emphasize the growing concept of what we do and what we are best at. The new logo has retained the well-known original “A” with the screw rotating around it, representing superior extrusion technology, research, development, and continuous improvements. In addition to the rebranding with the new logo, we have also changed the colors of our machinery to make the brand more uniform and recognizable. This is why the main moving parts of the machinery are now orange.
A brief HISTORY of how it all began
The company ALEMO was founded in 2007 from a courageous initiative by Dr. Eng. Andrea Sirk, based on experience, a passion for machinery, and a dedication to innovation.
Graduated in Chemical Engineering, he worked for five years in a multinational company specializing in steel production machinery, then as General Manager he restructured a large factory for the production and reprocessing of nylon, and later as an entrepreneur he restructured and reprocessing a PE foam production company.
One day, shortly after selling the PE foam company, he received a call from Brazil. “Who could be calling me from Brazil?” he wondered. It was a Brazilian entrepreneur, a producer of expanded PE, who had visited Andrea's expanded PE factory a few years earlier and seen an old twin-screw extrusion line renovated and reinvented by Andrea.
The Brazilian entrepreneur asked Andrea: “Can you build me a machine like this?”. Andrea's reaction was sudden and instinctive: “Yes”! It was a direct response from the heart.
In 2008, the Brazilian company began producing PE foam on ALEMO’s new EXT120 extrusion line, as can be seen in the photo.
